About the Event

A 3 hour nature connection experience in the grounds of Ickworth Park to quieten the mind, awaken the senses and reconnect with heart and soul.

Bathing our senses in the woodlands and pathways of the natural world triggers the parasympathetic nervous system, which is responsible for the restoration of body, mind and soul.  However quietening our minds isn't something that comes easily to many of us and we could spend a whole afternoon outdoors, without really noticing the nature around us as we chat, think or exercise while moving through the countryside.  These guided nature connection immersions help you to really slow down and connect with the nature around you.

On a deeper level, as we slow down, reconnect and rest in our true nature, beyond the busyness of every day life, nature immersion experiences also present an opportunity for personal insight, transformation and healing.

With this is mind, at the beginning of each session we spend a little time getting to know each other, through a small sharing circle, where we establish boundaries and expectations for the remainder of the experience.  We also take this time to orientate ourselves in time and place as we reflect on the seasonal wheel of the year..   I will then guide you into some nature connection invitations, to encourage a slower pace and a sense of stillness so that we are able to become fully present in the moment... before leading into sensory invitations to further quieten the mind as we awaken the senses and foster an interactive connection with the nature around us.

This month, we will spend time with the Hawthorn tree, experiencing the tree through the senses and exploring the folklore, history and healing qualities of this beautiful tree...

We will complete by gathering and sharing any reflections of our experience over a small cup of herbal or foraged tea (provided it's not too cold), before heading back into the world, feeling grounded, connected and refreshed.
