About the Event

An opportunity to meet up with others and enjoy a light hearted walk in the grounds of Ickworth Park, pausing a few times to engage in guided natural mindfulness activities.

On the first Sunday of each month, these walks offer participants the opportunity to:

  • slow down, relax and quieten the mind
  • awaken the senses and soothe the nervous system
  • recharge and refresh
  • learn about natural mindfulness
  • discover the ways that nature connection can support wellbeing
  • connect with others and enjoy nature connection together

You will be guided around a circular walk, that usually takes around 1 hour to walk at a casual pace. Each natural mindfulness invitation will take around 10 minutes during which time silence will be invited, the remainder of the walk will be at a comfortable pace in a relaxed and social manner.

The same route will be walked each month, so that we can notice it changing through the seasons.

The route is along an established path that is accessible for mobility scooters, which are available for hire at Ickowrth Park.

This is a wonderful opportunity for families and friends to explore natural mindfulness together. Providing they are comfortable with the 10 minute silence activities, the length of the walk and are happy to keep pace with everyone else - all are welcome.  Young children may not enjoy this experience simply because the route may be slightly too far for the pace they would prefer, older children may embrace it and babes in arms are welcome. Well behaved dogs on leads are also welcome.

Tickets for the walk are £7 for National Trust Members.  If you are not a member of the National Trust, you will need to pay £10 for entry to the park.  With this in mind, I don't charge non members for the first walk, so that you can gage if this is something you would like to do and consider whether it is worth investing in National Trust Membership. If this applies to you, please email me on tina@centredinnature.co.uk to book a taster ticket.

Booking is essential as places are limited.
